Steps to adding Medicare to your insurance offerings.

  • Make sure that you have a Health and Accident license

  • Study Medicare

    • There are many Medicare study guides.  The AHIP Exam and carrier certifications will help you learn a lot about the available Medicare products.
    • In addition, we have a Medicare 101 training on our AgentHQ
  • Take the AHIP Exam

    • AHIP is required for any Medicare Advantage or Medicare Prescription Drug Plan enrollments.  It is an annual certificate that must be completed every year before AEP.  However, many carriers will offer discounts, if you complete your AHIP certification through the carrier's certification portal.
